A real restaurant POS: automatic inventory, 2-minute cash close, and multi-site in one panel

A POS is not sold with slides. It is sold by showing what it does when the restaurant is full. Here is a walkthrough of the TRUJO POS features that actually move the needle, with sample data.

## Catalog and order taking

The catalog organizes products by category — burgers, sides, drinks, desserts — each with name, description, price, photo. Adding one takes seconds and it shows up in the menu immediately.

On the order screen the cashier sees the catalog as a grid: tap a product, pick quantity, add modifiers (no onion, extra cheese). A typical order totals up, records the payment method, computes change, and saves with a sequential number, time, and detail. With a thermal printer, the ticket prints automatically. And not every order comes from the counter: a customer who messages "a classic with fries for delivery" on WhatsApp lands in the same dashboard, next to counter orders. The kitchen checks one screen, not two.

## Inventory that deducts itself

This is the feature that saves the most money. Every time a burger sells, inventory updates automatically. If the classic uses 1 bun, 1 patty, 2 lettuce leaves, and 3 tomato slices, those get deducted on sale confirmation — nobody writes anything down.

The module shows every ingredient with its stock: low in yellow, critical in red. Alerts are configurable per product ("tell me when buns drop below 50"). When the supplier delivery arrives, you log it and keep a history of who recorded what and when. An undetected inventory error can cost millions; this feature exists so that error never happens silently.

## Cash close in 2 minutes, not 45

It is 10pm and the restaurant closes. Instead of counting by hand and doing math in a notebook, the system already has it all: day's sales split into cash, card, and delivery; transaction count; average ticket. The cashier counts physical cash, enters the amount, and the system flags any difference. Two minutes, not forty-five. A botched cash close stops costing someone the owner's trust.

## Real-time reports and multi-site

Reports generate instantly — no Excel assembly: which product sells most and which earns most (not always the same), breakdown by channel (counter vs WhatsApp vs delivery, telling the owner where to spend on marketing), and by period with comparison against the prior one.

With more than one location, everything shows in one panel: today's sales per site, chain total, and cross-site performance — who sells most, who has the highest average ticket, who has the most returns. No calls, no waiting for reports.

## Why this matters

Your business's spreadsheet is costing you more than software. Inventory nobody updates, cash closes that balance "more or less," reports that arrive three days late. Meanwhile you do not know your best seller or how much cash is in the register right now. A professional POS is not an expense — it is the tool that tells you exactly how your business is doing, every day, in real time.
